I have copied it from the Tamil magazine' " Snehidhi". Few years back they used to encourge original designs from kolam lovers. Every month they used to publish some 16 designs and readers should vote for the best by selecting the best one of their choice and vote thru the coupen attaced to the magazine. The winner who gets the maximum vote will be gifted with a Gold Bangle( one soverign). This was the prize winning entry in one month , I do not remember the creater's name.( One Ms. Usha from chennai , I think). I liked it and copied it in my book. Though it is a dotted design, it gives some challenge to copy it correctly.
When I saw mOhanaji's sona designs recently, somehow I felt this design has some resemblence to that category.Since the lines are twin(double) ezhai, the meeting place donot have a triangle but only a spot.

It is a simple dotted kolam ( 10 dots 10 lines.. straight one) Colored with colour kolapodi. Due to Heavy rains , not able to put kolam outside. So tried this kutti kolam in the drawing room.

Another puzzle rangoli with dot count 13-7 in between dots. Here 2 different type of segment/designs are repeated in all the directions to form this rangoli. Loo.....ng ago in one Tamil magazine( I think Kumudham) one Male Kolam Expert used to give the dots for the kolam and provide with one segment of the puzzle and we have to fill the same in our own way to create a kolam and send. very intresting to do. In my old kolam note book I found some designs and here they are for u all to taste and try.
