- SuganthiMohan's quilled kolam...in colour kolapodi
Tempted by Rani's pallich kolams I tried to put thick lined kolam and inplace of kavi put red rangoli powder since it is a dark background.
This design is taken from my own design collection and the coloring in between made like embroidery stiches.
For a change, the wet rice maavu mixed with red liquid color was used to draw the main design and white kolam podi was used in place of kave for border and decoration. Hows it ?
Hi, all wondering where you have seen this design recently? I think Brindhaji will guess immediately since she knows the dot count also!!!
after seeing Rani's round round thick lined kolams I tried this, but I could not succeed in drawing thick /bold lines ( my be I am still kanjoos in using kolapodi liberally). Maroon kaavi not available, hence used my usual blood red kaavi to frighten you all.
Just used the colour kola podi to copy the original. Though the quilling effect we could not get with the podi, I tried my best. It took nearly one and half hours to complete it. Suganthi inspired and Vidhya provoked usto do this.
