Rangoli: mOhanaji's sona square kolam

I enjoyed doing this copycat kolam on a wooden plank. can you guess what is the medium i have used?
( after finishing only i thought i should have drawn this on my black granite slab to get the original effect)

Rangoli: Navrathri Padikolam

This was drawn infront of my sisterinlaw's house during Navrathri celebration. Since the floor was red I could not use Kaavi.

Rangoli: Navrathri golu contest

Lata, This year I was in chennai to celebrate Navrathri celebration with my sister inlaw. In their house they keep Golu for so many years. The dolls are more than 50 years old.I am sending the Golu picture for the contest, since my contribution is there in putting the Hrudhaya kamalam kolam with wet maavu and flower petals and the decorations with lamps. I do not know if it canbe included in the contest. Otherwise u can publish it in the normal way.

Rangoli: Terrece kolam.

Being Mahalaya Amaavaasya day, dayfull I was busy. Now in the evening came to the terrece and put this kolam with wet maave and color podi to welcome Navraathri!. It is a dotted kolam dot count 9-5 in between dots and 2 dots on all the six corners.

Rangoli: Blue and White chikku kolam

It was a sunny day. The blue sky with white color cotton like clouds floating here and there
inspired me to do this chikku kolam with this color combination.
It is a chikku kolam with dot count 19 to 10 inbetween dots.I have used rice powder for the white portion and colour rangoli powder for the blue. This chikku kolam was the creation of one MS Saraswathi( Nanganallur, chennai) published in one of the old Tamil magazine.

Rangoli: Simple Sandhyaa Geetham

Simple dotted kolam with wet rice maavu put in the evening. Dot count 9x3, 7,5,3. Wanted to put colors inbetween, but thought the black and white contrast itself is nice. what you say?

Rangoli: Mohanaji's Sona square kolam

I have tried this copycat kolam with colorpodi on the wooden plank. By putting chamkies in between I have given a different dot count to draw the kolam this way. It takes time to give the weaving effect. Anyhow I enjoy doing such designs.

Rangoli: Pookkolam

I do not waste flowers after using for pooja. Last week on Poornima day we decorated the Big kuththu vilakku with lot of flowers and did pooja. After that the dried flower petals were used to do this free hand design.
