I colored this Krishna picture as part of my Bal Vihar work last year.
This is a rangOli created by me and my dear wife Kala back in 1980 at the time of Christmas holidays. I started the tradition of creating my own card from then onward. When I saw latAji's animated rangOli, I remembered this and dug it out. Here it is.

Hi, special rangoli drawn for " SRI GOKULASHTAMI" in front of my house today(as we are celebrating today that is 13/8/09).this is doted rangoli (9X1 staright dots) and free hand finishing done.
ALL IKOLAM MEMBERS HAPPY SRI KRISHNA JANMASHTAMI.
After comparing/talking Judyji's rangoli with Katti dONi, made one...but could not wait to put other dONis(boats) too
1. Basic Boat 2. Katti Boat
3. Boat with wings 4. Boat with wings also has a pull over to take shelter for sun & rain check the red arrow, thats the paper you need to pull slowly (similar to those of open car with cover folded at the back
4. Double Boat.
Will try to make videos of the same and upload sometime (i still have so many other origami videos to shoot ).
this rangoli has a free hand flowers drawn by rama with using two colors
Rajamma madam, I think this time I did it fifty percent. This kolam is in my mind for almost one month.
Jaya madam this is for you . Just an idea. I used chart paper to make covers and decorated with the cutting from old invitation cards. So if we present for some occation in this envelop, it will be different from others. Some may presever and some may through away. But upstill we give it is a pleasure for me to prepare like this.

Lata happy to see the newly started thread saree section. I am eagerly waiting to see new design saree. First let me showcase my recently finished mirror work sare. The zari prints are there The between mirror work is done by me. I had seen many shops above the prints one simple hand embroidary gives more elegant to that saree and if it is done on zari work it is more costly. So better we can get a printed saree and do embroidary according to our taste and wear proudly. What you say?
