this is a sketch of the aadi velli kolam which i drew on paper to try it on this friday,but due to the recent rains my mud floor has become a swamp pool,so i am left with only a pencil sketch.

This kolam done by my neighbour Rasiga signifies welcoming Krishna right from the entrance with the traditional Kumbam,Paneer and Santhnam,along with the fruit basket and the Pakshanam ( prasad) plate.You can also see the Asthathala Padma Padam towards the left hand side

I made this one today for Janmashtami. The dot count would be 3-5-7-9-9-9-7-5-3(straight dots). With Dharun having cold, couldnt bring out more. But am sure, Lord Krishna is there to protect us all. Wishing You all a very Happy Janmashtami!

this was meant to be a welcome rangoli for the next day...but unfortunately the lifetime of this rangoli was only 4 hours...we had a heavy rainfall after that...:-(
