Dear friends,
a very simple sikku kolam for you to enjoy....
This is a maakolam I did today being the first day of Navrathri.. courtesy AV. Hope you all like it. Dot count 9 x 9 and 3 x 2 on all four sides.
This particular Rangoli was copied by me from this site i.e. from Lata's animated kolams. The only addition is the colouring. Hope you like it.
Hi All,
Today, on the occasion of Mahalaya Ammavasa, I made this small neli kolam with wet rice flour. I'm not a specialist (like you people) in making kolams, still i liked to share this with you all to seek your comments and suggestions for improvement.
Two single line sOna patterns (3 rows and four columns) are placed side by side and joined together. This motif is assembled into a square. This has 6 independent woven strings. I have shown them in three colours to preserve the four-fold symmetry. There is a vertical four-fold axis (90 deg rotation) perpendicular to the screen and four two-fold axes at 45 deg ib the plane of the screen (two - horizontal and vertical and two diagonal - NE-SW and NW-SE). Enjoy!
Regards! - mOhana
Though small rangoli, i wanna share for beginners.. hope it will be also helpful for the residents of flats.
This is a simple sikku kolam with dot count 6 to 6 and on all the sides 2-2. You can make out. Since it was a small one, I did little make up. Your views please.
It was a sunny day. The blue sky with white color cotton like clouds floating here and there
inspired me to do this chikku kolam with this color combination.
It is a chikku kolam with dot count 19 to 10 inbetween dots.I have used rice powder for the white portion and colour rangoli powder for the blue. This chikku kolam was the creation of one MS Saraswathi( Nanganallur, chennai) published in one of the old Tamil magazine.
I had a hesistation to upload my small kolam as ikolam is flooded with bigger versions of chikku kolam.... Your suggestions Please.
