I thought of putting/reviving old designs during this Margazhi month. Here is another star kolam with 9-5 inbetween dots and decorated it in a modern outfit with brown/orange colors. you want me to continue with 'oldwine in new cup' or not, your comments will decide.

Since Karthigai, the month of Deepam is coming to an end, I did this kolam with deepams to bid farewell to Karthigai month. It is a small design drawn by me with dot count 9-5 inbetween dots and coloured with color kolapodi.
This is free hand design copied from VijaySowmya's gallery and colored with coconut poo mixed with liquid food colors.( Till the coconut poo stock is cleared pl. bear with my coloring)
This free hand maakolam was drawn just to use my leftout coconut poo after removing the milk from it. The coloring was done after mixing the coconut poo with liqiud food colors. But the filling is little difficult since it does not spread easily.
This wet maavukolam design was done on a rainy day. No time to color it. So did the coloring later with the help of paint brush in PC. Hope u like my childish coloring!

This is another familiar star kolam with dot count 17-9 in between dots.2,1 dots on allthe corners. I used maroon and white color powder for drawing and decorating this design in a different way. Hope u all will enjoy this... old wine in a new bottle!
I put this design for Karthigai and wanted to kep Diya's and take the phot but in the diya's light the colors will not be that visible, so only the kolam I am uploading. It is a dotted kolam 19-10 inbetween dots, then 2,1 on all corners. Simple star design put in a different way . Instad of normal bright colors I have used rare mild color combination for a trial to see how it will look.Hope you like it.
