This was made with a basic 3 x 3 motif. The basic motif has has three independent strings. When this was assembled into a hexagonal entity, eight strings result. I chose to keep two sets of three strings in the same colour resulting in totally four colours. Enjoy!

This is a chikku kolam. I have used kaavi podi instead of the white kolapodi and used colors to decorate it. Dot count is 11 x 3, 9 x 3, 3 x 1. Hope you like it.

After a gap I could put this wet maavu kolam and colored it with color podi. How do you like this mustard/ Arakku color combination... looking different without the normal bright colors!?
Actually this kolam was a dotted kolam.After finishing the kolam , I filled with colors , then it looks like a freehand kolam.
