Rangoli: Bluebells - JKM Rao

Here is a rangOli with actual bluebells and six petalled flowers and leaves arranged in a manner similar to that of Ms Padmasri.

Rangoli: paDikOlam-13

This is a rather novel one I made. The triangular gOpurams are more north Indian than south Indian with more elongation. The red and grey (nearest to white colour) dotted border is a new innovation. It is a sona drawing extended on all four sides. I call this a sona square. Each sona drawing is a 2 X 13 drawing (2 rows, 13 columns). We know such a sona drawing is a single line. What is interesting is if one combines four such sona drawings to form a square, we get two lines, not a single line. This is an exciting result, for me Smile Outside this, I have my curlies and tendrils and lamps. Hope you enjoy!

Rangoli: Commart-1

These are made with the punctuation mark comma. Two different fonts were used.

Rangoli: moodles-3

Another attempt at moody rangOli doodles.

Rangoli: Moodles-2 or Symmetry broken symmetrically!

This is a pair of moody rangOli doodles. I tried to break the symmerty of the square and the circle here in a symmetric fashion! Not responsible if your head spins Smile

Rangoli: Moodles-1

These are created just like that without any such notion in mind. I call these moodles, rangOli doodles created when in mood or muggu doodles. I just drew the lines without any idea of what it is going to be or why. Just allowed the fancy to take its course.

Rangoli: paDikOlam-11

Normally, straight lines are drawn when drawing paDikOlams. Suddenly it occured to me why not wavy lines? Here red and grey wavy lines have been used throughout. The outer border was drawn with curly brackets Smile The svAstikAs were used to impart holiness (this is like devil taling about the bible).

Rangoli: Om gaNESAya namaH /|\

This is something I started last year. The left part with four-fold symmetry was done last year in September. The right one with six-fold symmetry was done today. To mark the occasion of gaNESa pUjA, these are presented here. The elephant's ear is part of the OM after the dEvanAgari u. The eye of another elephant completes the Om. Thus this is a collage of the elephant shaped god and the praNava mantra Om together. The voids form flower-like structures.
