Rangoli: Simple Sikku

Tried a simple sikku design in PC.

12 - 6 lines and extend the center 6 dots on each side by 3 lines

Rangoli: Celtic Hearts knot

Been trying some Celtic knots, using dots, this one came out like hearts knots, thought it would be special for this day. As they normally using represent the bonding and endlessness, normally gifts adorned with these knots would be given with best wishes of longevity.

Happy Valentines day.

Dot count 12 X 12 and three lines of 4 dots at center on all the four sides.

Rangoli: Rathasapthami

Ratha (ther) rangoli, designed for Rathasapthami, since no time to make in real, posting this scanned/ colored copy. Still not come out of MarghaLi, hence made a sikku ratha.

Dot counts 15 X 25. Reduce as needed for the top portion. Wheels added extra, with base of 24 dots.

Rangoli: Margazhi dew drops kolam contest 2011

God's decorated entrance
This a combo design of many sikkus, in my collections as well as from iKolam. The towers are derived from No75 design in mOhanaji's kolam book. Since it became bigger, i had to go to the terrace top :). Tried my best to add colors, but wind & time did not allow, hope to make a smaller version with colors sometime.
Dot count basic layout of 45 X 33 and remove excess dots. Else 45 X 20 then in steps for the towers.
Sun in center is separate with 24 dots in circle, can be extended as needed. (with Om written in kannada). Your views & suggestions please.
