Rangoli: Shiva Rangoli

Shiva rangoli with Sanskar Bharathi borders, got to see this in one of the temple on a Mandala pooja. Wanted to do this in real for last Karthika Monday, but work & time constraint left me with only PC version. Hope to do for Shivarathri.

Dot grid 19 X 19....if borders excluded then 13 X 13, add borders as needed.

Rangoli: Origami flower star

One more origami design flower in the center of 8 pointed star. Made out of one single square. Nine of them placed together to form a rangoli design.

Modular Origami star resembeling star rangolis. Front & back after assembling all the units. Since Christmas is close can be used as an ornament for the tree decorations.
8 units 4 of each color, will post the steps in cafe soon
Can be drawn using 13 X 1 dots or freehand

Rangoli: Simple Flower Rangoli for Vijayadashami

A simple flower rangoli was drawn with the left over flowers. Since there was more of crysthanamum (Sevanthi) flowers, i mixed the color powder to get the variations Smile

Rangoli: Indianised ships - Let us go on a cruise

Atlast I could make this weekend.
Here comes Indianised ships, with fishes, turtles & pearl oyster :). Asusual drawn on paper, scanned & colored in photoshop.
The ships are inspired from one of the rural arts of India.

Dot count 33 X 17 (hexagonal grid), extend the corners as needed for the masts/ sails.

This is a simple one for 15 X 1 collection.

Rangoli: ALilu(Squirrel) Seve

We all are aware of the Rama and the Squirrel story, the same inspired me to design this for Raamanavami. A border of flowers and Acorn nuts added, which has not attracted the Squirrel who is busy collecting the pebbels Smile
