This is a simple embroidary done on a saree pallu. I used the outline stitch.
The speciality of this design is it does starts in one point and finishes the otherend without break.

Friends as usual this is my E kolam(Embroidary Kolam)
On seeing the design it does looks like our Padikolam. So I tried it out in a mati cloth by cross stitch.

Hello Lata!
I'm Rajamma mami's neighbour, Anushree. Thanks to her, I've taken an interest in doing kolams and also joining this website. Here is an acrylic on canvas painting of a peacock reposing amid flowers. I've used some kundan to add to the bling factor :)! Kindly upload it if you like it.
Thanks,
Anushree

Rangoli: Quilling
Created by admin on 2010-04-21,

The cow, flamingo, girl and the butterfly were all done last year by Surya and Diya. Since it was all done last year, they couldn't remember whose butterfly this one is. And, they had already lost the quilling tool. I have no clue regarding these things. Smile
Mrs.Jayanthi's quilling lessons reminded me of having seen these little critters somewhere in my kids' rooms, and so thought of sharing it here, before these get lost too. Smile

Rangoli: Magazine Art

This is a wall decor made with magazines. I found it somewhere on the internet. A magazine with at least 50 sheets will give a good effect.

Step 1 - Hold the top corner of the sheet, fold it inward so that the top edge tucks into the magazine and crease it.

Step 2 - Repeat this for all the pages and again, for the bottom half of the sheet. do not crease it when folding the bottom half.

No glue required.
