Though a lotus flower in spirituality symbolises purity, beauty, fertility and peace, it also symbolises wisdom and knowledge(Gyaan).........hence thought of putting a lotus flower kolam on "Gayatri Japam" day

The devotees therefore worship their deity with full dedication to lead a happy and prosperous life.

"Aadi" is a tamil month which is the "Aashaada" month.....This month marks the begining of all festivals- Ganesh Chaturthi, Janmashtami , Radhashtami, Aavani Avittam, Varalakshmi Vrata, Navratri , Diwali etc...and also the first day of Aadi month is when the "Dakshinaayana Punyakaala" begins....
Most importantly, this month is dedicated to the worship of the Mother Goddess....The fridays of this Aadhaada/Aadi month are as auspicious as Navratri....

This is the sticker kolam i have stuck in front of my golu this year. No chance of doing an podi kolam as my son is very naughty and likes to discard every kolam that i make.
