A slight variation in my 13-1 chikku kolam. My maid Rehana wanted to learn chikku kolam, but she had to leave Bangalore to go to her village and left us. She said she will be missing ikolam and before leaving gave marigold flowers to decorate my kolams. So this one is dedicatted to her.

I put this small wet maavu kolam today evening for Karthigai deepam and decorated with real lamps.
During my visit to Pune, we stayed in an oldage home during Diwali .On the Deepaavali day I put one rangoli ( a little modified version of my Diwali Deepam kolam)there. But the inmates wanted me to put a dotted chikku kolam since it is south Indian special. On the spot I could only remember this design and drew this and they all liked it since it was a continuous single ezhai chikku kolam.
Recently we went to Pune for holidays and visited a beach near a place called Divyagar. The beach mud was so soft, silky and wet.Could see so many design's drawn on the soil by the waves.I just took a plastic spoon found there and drew this design. with in few minutes the waves pulled the kolam inside the water. Just had the time to click.
Let ALL the Hands join together to light the Lamp of Joy and Happiness! Happy Diwali to All ikolam friends
After a gap I am uploading few of my 13-1 series chikku kolam. Hope you will enjoy this.
Just managed to keep the dolls on the last 3 days. Drew this freehand design kolam with wet maavu as per my grandson's wish and managed to decorate with pink/ blue colors to satisfy Sowmya!
Just want to give company for Rani and Sowmya for the Panchami /green colour kolam. Since I was busy last few days could not put elaborate kolams with the red, blue colours. This is an urgent wet mavu kolam with white /green fillings.
