This rangoli was made by a few participants of a rangoli competition, held in California a few years ago. It was held for a fund raising event, and actor Mr. Madhavan was the chief guest in it.

This is a stencil which I have and thought would download since Mohanaji was asking for a dancer kneeling in namaskaram pose but here the dancer is holding a lamp... Especially for you Mohanaji... hope you like it.. I used kaavi for this ... the picture is not too perfect ... will try it if I happen to find a darker background with white maavu batter...

Normally, straight lines are drawn when drawing paDikOlams. Suddenly it occured to me why not wavy lines? Here red and grey wavy lines have been used throughout. The outer border was drawn with curly brackets 
The svAstikAs were used to impart holiness (this is like devil taling about the bible).
