This is a dotted kolam. Dot count is 7-4 in between dots.
I drew this design and asked my granddaughter Sahana ( 10 yr old, who is very much interested in kolams) to color it.With my guidence and help from my maid she completed the filling. This is our first Margazhi kolam. Beware! lot more to follow.
First day of Marghazhi was a wet day and the rain played spoil sport and I could not put a kolam outside my house - instead I did one on the computer and am uploading it here. I am sure many are familiar with this lotus kolam. Dot count - straight dots 20 (5 lines) ends with 5.
A pleasant free hand kolam drawn on a marghazhi day 1you view and comments please.
check out this rangoli which i felt was good...............did u like it
This was one of the kolams I made during Navrathri.
This is to welcome markazhi. WE put the flowers in centre all the 30 days.In markazhi month where the rangoli puts and the flowers placed (we called it as poo pillaiyar)Lord krishna will comes to that home.I heard it in a upanyasa. But before that it is started from my childhood.
This a kolam with attaching lines. I draw this kolam using paint. And I have added different colours to it. Usually we will draw this kolam in front of the house.
this is wat my rangoli looked like.........with vibrant colors......i loved it.
