After a long time I am uploading one of my pookolams. I made this arrangement last month when I had been to the flower market to purchase roses for a function in Anita's college (inauguration of the theatre group of Madras University). There were loads of roses and I went crazy picking from a variety of colours and sizes. I tried to take pictures inside the market but because it was around 6.30 am and the lighting inside the market was not too good the photographs have a different look altogether. I will upload them in the cafe soon for you to see... The roses in this urli stayed fresh for about 10 days (thanks to the recent Chennai climate)..

Here is a paDikOlam with six-fold symmetry. It has wavy lines, a hexagonal lattice with a lamp in the centre, 240 degree circles at the outside, six petalled flowers, and lamps. Besides the seven lamps, if you look carefuuly, you'll see six more lamps. Do you see them? Enjoy!
