hiiiiiiiiii,,,....

1st i made an out line of the design and added colours for tht,

i drew the out line the help of marble powder for filling the colours.

i have added differnt colours like pink blue red orange green etc..

to make it my rangoli more attractive..

and finally i drew the out line once again with marble powder to make it or appear the out line very clearly...

Here is a rangOli created with a linga. What prompted this is the sUrya-SaSAMka-vahni-nayanm in the SlOka. This linga has sun outside, moon inside and fire (light) at the centre. Normally I don't use five-fold symmetry as it is not amenable to translations (systematic movements in two directions). Today i am choosing five-fold symmetry as Siva is a paMchamukha (five-faced). I used the bilva leaves (kindly supplied by SrImati lakshmIdEvi and therefore all puNya to her Smile in between the lingas. AAt the centre I placed a nAgamalli (nAgaliMga) flower as there is a linga shape in this flower. I also used akunda flowers in the vacant spaces as this is supposed to be a favourite of the God Siva. The symmetry is not perfect due to the bilva leaves.

Straignt dots - 19 - 1

This is a very simple pongal paanai kolam which I drew on Pongal this year - I did not have a good choice of colours (Brindha and Preethi I really envy you guys) and had to make do with whatever was there, so though the kolam came out quite well, the colouring was not at all satisfactory. I am planning to go on a hunting spree to look for the colours owned by the envied two ikolam members mentioned above and hope to present some wonderful coloured rangoli soon Smile

This is the kalyana kolam. It is two joint kolams of kanya kolam. This is the one we put for marriage and for pondugal and all. It was my neighbour's 70th birthday function i put this kolam and in this kolam the light the fire (homam)
