Viji Madam makes designs in Sarees, but I made this Rangoli from the design in my saree. It was made way back in 1995 during Navarathri in front of Kolu.

When we start for golu the kalasa is important. I decorate the kalasa as goddess. It was saraswathi alangaram for the last three days of golu.

This kathakali kolam was done with my grand-daughter's help. Color powder was made from rice flour mixed with food coloring and dried.

This is a pic of our pooja room decorated for Navaratri. The decoration credit goes to my mother.She is 70 years and has personally stitched the garlands for all pictures with cloth and decorated with sequins and bangles.You can also see the Kuthuvillaku decorated and kept on either side.
