My Ganesha Vandana for this year....wanted to do this in real this time, but again not able to be at home due to work. May be next time or any other day. Here is my own design developed inspired by the concept of Varalakshmi-Kalasha design from Mrs.Lakshmi.

Dot counts 23 X 12 and 11, 12 all six sides for the pedestals.

Happy Gowri-Ganesha chathurthi for all.

Here is a dotted rangOli for tulasi bRndAvana. The central pattern is the brRndAvana and the outer design is the rangOli for it. I will discuss more about this and others of this class in great detail in my blog at a later time. This is a part of my ongoing research on the sOna patterns. Anybody willing to reproduce it? Enjoy!

Rangoli: real and false kolam

On Krishna Jayanthi, I put this kolam infront of Thulsi. By the time the wet maavu kolam dried I was busy with other works and hence did not put kaavi. To make it bright I took the help of MS paint and drew the Kaavi. So kolam is real and Kaavi is false.( Idea from Indira Sunder)
This design taken from an kolam book, dot count 15-8 inbetween dots
