This is a smaller version of Padikolam normally we put in Kalyaanam(weddings). Wet rice maavu is used because it will stay longer. For a change I have interchanged the red and white color.(Usual practice is white kolam with red border).
Lata, garam idli with molagapodi, vadai with chutni and sweet rava kesari are ready. took some time to bring banana leaf, sorry for the delay... so now go ahead!!!!
Lata, you can have garam idli with mulagapodi, vadai with green chatni and for sweet I could make only kesari baath.(Only yesterday night we had masaala dosai. I'm sure hot hot onion rava dosa and sweet laddoos are getting ready in Lakshmi's Aangan.)
I tried to put this kolam at the back of a tile which has small square design in it, to get the effect of embroidery. Took almost 3 hours to complete.
Dot count...19, 17(5 lines),15,13,11, and 1. Repeat on other side. Straight dots.
My neice, who is a nursery/art teacher has put this design for her school function. Seeing that i was tempted to copy the design and draw using different colors. So full credit goes to her.
This is an imaginative idea which I have created.I have used marker pens only.Hope you enjoy!!!!
