Hi all!
I'm new here: Adele from Palermo,Italy - nice to meet you!
I've discovered kolams on Sept 2008 on a children's magazine and used them with my pupils at the end of this school year. They love them! I'd like to make kolams as known in Italy as mandalas.
Here is my first attempt with a twirley kolam (from here: http://ikolam.com/node/247).
Hope you like it.
Dotted Kolams
Here are the kolams and rangolis in this page:
- My very first twirley kolam 3-5-3
- Kaalai Geetham!
- Sankranthi Rangoli
- Beginners kolam
- Simple morning raagam
- Margazhi kolam
- Black and white design in paper
- Sword stars
- Poo kolam
- Chalk kolam in Singapore !!!
This one also 9-5 dot count kolam. Easy to put in the busy hours of morning. decoration can be put if you find time.
The dot count is 7-4 inbetween dots. Even working ladies also can put this kolam since it will not take much time.
This is another margazhi kolam. This can be drawn without dots also. Flowers and leaves kolam.
With 9-5 in between dots I drew this design in paper. It is easy to draw in paper but will take much time to put as rangoli.
Nowadays experimenting on kambhi kolams inspired/copied from everyones gallery..
Really needs practise and concentration and most important patience to put these designs.
