Great appeal to the eyes and color combination is excellent .Drawing it on the ground must have been a difficult task. It needs special skills . You have Gods' grace and coupled with your hardwork, the end result is beyond words.
May god give you more energy and zeal for making more beautiful rangolis, enriching our culture and adding spiritual hues for the ever inquisitive minds.
Ever since the first time I saw it, apart from thinking how realistic it looked, I couldn't help thinking about what happens (naturally)to any rangoli after the event is over. To tell you the truth, I'm glad to know that this rangoli has a chance to be "there" for approximately an year. Here's a thought...the next time you make such a masterpiece, please also have a glass-covered case, so you could save this for an even longer duration (I think I'm starting to deviate from the very meaning of rangoli...I'll stop for now)
You've actually made sure all your chana daal and moong dal are facing down!! Not even a single dal is facing up If you would've done this on a glass or a smooth-surfaced canvas, you could be able to save this forever (perhaps frame it... The rugged wood-canvas does give this a unique look.
Asha take a long sheet of paper(news paper)fold it to four or five equal times as u wish, and make small holes where there is no separation of papers that is on the reverse side of the paper, with equal distance make the holes pour the powder on it and hold a edge and move it at 360 degrees u will get dotted circles now join it and make it thicker as u wish and fill the colours thank u.
Lata,
The orange dresses are readymade one. This set up is kept in front of Kolu on Navarathiri.
The bangle rangoli is utilised in this way.

Great idea jk mohana! It would be nice to see more letter-patterns.
What material is the elephant in the center made up of? It somewhat looks like a sticker, but also has raised edges, Looks beautiful though.
Very beautiful! This looks like a dotted kolam.
