Using sesame seeds to add contrast, what a neat idea! I know people use rice powder in kolams for feeding ants and such, but at a glance this image looked as if there was a mad rush of ants, reminded me of ration stores in India
Posting rangolis on paper is just fine Indira, as long as you share your ideas any way you can, you'll keep ikolam happy! Think of ikolam as your pet, when you feed it and give it attention now and then, it will continue to give you joy
What a coincidence! You and I have so much in common!
I'm so glad ikolam has helped you in some way...can't wait to take a look at your Pongal kolam. Wishing you all the best, have a happy Pongal!
Thank you so much for your wises and for this valuable feedback!
Hi Akila,
Nice to finally hear from you...I'll definitely catch up with you one of these days. Let me finish up with organizing the contest kolams for display/voting, and then I'll either call you or email you my skype id. I'm so glad to hear from you after all these months

So serene...
Beautiful rangoli, and a Saraswati shloka to go with it too. Thank you for sharing Indira and Srenithy.

Srenithy sure has an artistic mom! Your designs double up as rangoli patterns, as well as designs for greeting cards. Nice idea Indira.
A hand-made greeting card for your child, how thoughtful Indra!
Nice rangolis Devi.

Seriously! You mean you want to make kolams with cleaning tools like broomsticks and mops! That would be quite amusing
I've some themes in mind that I haven't seen yet, and I'll write up about it soon.
Mr.Manian, glad you're back after a long time
Hi Lakshmi.
I took pains to complete the Madubani Painting peacock. To my surprise you have done it on Kolam. Superwoman.
