inspired by Lakshmiraghu's rangoli on water, I attempted my first rangoli on water, though it was not a big success as the powder kept getting wet and sinking in (dont know where i went wrong) i decided to upload a pic i had taken on my mobile just so that the experts can give me tips on how to make a better one next time.
and this is the final output once the four designs are combined to be woven into a saree.
Lata i just thought i'd load one of the designs i made for a silk saree that was selected by a co-op society in salem and woven into a silk saree (as i said did not get to see it after it was done boo hoo hoo)...
i will load the different parts of the saree that are designed on one page and then one picture after it is combined to make the saree...
the different parts of the saree design are the side border, the pallu border, the pallu design and the body design.
Here are two arrangements with the full moon and lamps.
May they shine always brightly! - mOhana
Cricket is in the news now, for wrong reasons.
This rangOli with the red cherry and the willow is dedicated to all
cricketers and cricket lovers! The sun never sets on a cricket field!
For the glory of cricket, enjoy! - mOhana
The Umbrella birthday girl inspired me to create this.
All these umbrellas are only for you. Count them for me, will you?
I was reading story book "Granny's Dragon" by Lisa Mccourt for Sashank and he wanted dragon to wish him in kolam, so after he slept I just hurriedly put this to greet him in the morning for his birth day.
This is a free hand rangoli. This table cloth is for Mr. mOhanaji's dinning table.
Am sure this will suit your table or do you require bigger one !!!
dots 13 - 13
This kalasam (hope I am correct) kolam can be drawn for occasions such as a wedding, grihapravesh etc, I have drawn this kolam in such a way to show how the dots are connected just for those who don't understand - whereas actually it should be drawn in continuation to cover the dots - hope you understand what I am trying to say.
