This kolam was drawn on the occassion of Gowri festival. As there was no holiday on that day it was done in hurry to meet my scheduled timing. Your views please.....
Dear friends...Here is a padi kolam design done for the Vinayagar chathurthi pooja. Your views on this please.
I had cut this design to use it as background decor for the Ganesha festival. While trying to fix, found thermacoal sheets were not there in my treasure box(cupboard) :). Also due to timing for the pooja could not make the ragoli, used it on the floor
....so evolved the KG Sheet rangoli.
After doing some pooja, we received a garland made of cute little red roses. You know I could not throw them just like that. So thought of making small small pookkolams even after Onum is over.Enjoy this design with Velvet red rose petals
.
This pretty rangoli is the great work of my maid Rehana. The design, drawing and colouring are all done by herself without my help. She is very eager to know your comments
Hai to all....Happy Ganesh Chathurthi to All....this rangoli adorned my frontyard on this auspicious day....hope you like this
The numerals in kannaDa are : ೧ ೨ ೩ ೪ ೫ ೬ ೭ ೮ ೯ ೦ (from 1 through 9 and zeo); in telugu they are : ౧ ೨ ౩ ౪ ౫ ౬ ౭ ౮ ౯ ౦ . I created symmetric patterns using these numerals. Top row - 1, 2, 2mm, middle row - 3, 3m, 4, bottom row - 4mm, 6, 6mm. Pure mirror symmetry (m) is omitted. In telugu, the numeral three is similar to the Roman numerals we use normally. That is why I used the kannaDa 3. Here also one may see that 6 and 9 are inverted. Interestingly, this kind of numerals are part of the compound letters (ottu) we use in those languages. Still these numerals that are used for page numbers in kannaDa books. Enjoy!
