SrIpAdarAya, perhaps the founder of the karNATaka system of music, composed a song bhUshaNake bhUshaNa. In it he mentions aalayake bhUshaNa tulasi bRndAvana (tulasi bRMdAvana is the ornament for a temple). I wish all I-Kolam members a very happy Ganesh Chathurthi. May Lord Ganesha (Aadi moola kadavul) shower his blessings to all of us.
This is the kolam that I made for Ganesh chathurthi. This is my last kolam on this lovely red tiled floor, as we are moving to a new apartment. I'm not sure whether I'll be able / allowed to make kolams on the entrance floor in the new house. Still I'll be in touch with you all atleast through the commenting section. I'll try to make kolams through some other medium like BB etc.... Otherwise I'll try to practise PC kolams and upload it for you.

Here is an animated circular dotted kolam that I'm uploading after a long time. It has 17 dots at the center line followed by 15, and then it varies. Hope you enjoy it.
