Spring season has come and it is the time to cheer.It is a romantic season.It is full of joy and flowers.Everybody likes the fruits of spring. So I also submit the butterfly kolam with full of enthusiasm.

This is a freehand Rangoli made with coloured sand. I had sketched this a few months back and used it for the spring theme. It was hard replicating the curvy pencil strokes with coloured sand - hopefully I'll get better with time

While I was rummaging through my files, I found that I created a pattern with a wild iris sometime in May last year, but never published it. I am uploading that too as a part of the garden flowers. This is actually a small flower, more or less the size of a child's had. I find this many a time before some houses when I take a walk around my block in the evening. Enjoy. Regards! - mOhana

In Bangalore Sampangi flower known as Sampige is very famous. In malleswaram Banglore A road is called Sampige road because it has so many sampige trees on its side. For Ikolam I wanted to plant that flower. Its smell is amazing. Though the color is orangish yellow I like it for its smell. A few butterflies also to add charm to this

Lata, my neighbour who is very good in drawing and art works, started putting rangolis. when I saw this in front of her house, I told her about our garden and she was too happy to send this entry. Her name is Anushree. Since the flowers and the butterfly were cute I thought of sending it. You can decide whether to add in our garden or putit in the normal kolam place.
