A floor carpet made of flowers. Just to make it bright dark shades were used.
This kolam I did on my own. Simple dotted kolam to try.
The design for this kolam is from a saree. It's a background design. We can't see that very clearly but still i saw that. I can't believe that i started to see kolam in everything i see now. Thanks to Latha for this. Hope u like this kolam. Ur comments n suggestions pls.

I have drawn this with black gel outlined with colour pencil. This design was on a shopping cover. How is it my frienz, ur comments please.

on 27.12.2009 ( sunday)in THE HINDU PAPER there was a furniture add i have been inspired by that design hence i drew it on floor i have added extra designs also.your viwes pls... i have attached both source as well as my kolam.
The kuzhal kolam which I did last year immediately came to my mind. I remembered I had roughly based it on the ss plate which we use everyday.
This is a simple maakolam with dot count 9 to 1. Used a little color to make it look a little extra special. Hope you all like it.
Here is a hexagonal chikku kOlam for a triangle (dots 9 to 1). There are five independent strings. The second one on the left top is actually light yellow, but somehow it came out almost white, but didn't feel like repeating the whole thing again For some reason, when I see this, I am reminded of my childhood days when we used to purchase packets of sweet and savoury in shops with heaps of them arranged as pyramids. They used to take dried lotus leaves and make a pyramidal type of packet with a string tied all over. In those days, they used to cost one anna (six paise) when rice used to be sold for one rupee a paDi (not kilo). Well, any way, enjoy!
