I have used copper paint to give the metallic effect and used a lot of kundan stones and Tanjore painting stones for the kavacham and used lots of swarovski crystal stones to give the diamond effect.Waiting for your feed Back.I mainly do marapaachi doll decorations as my hobby. I do get lots of orders from friends and relatives. This one was an order from a lady in USA. It took me One full 2 weeks to finish it. So here is the end product. Hope you all will like it.

Hi I am uploading one more snap of my golu as per your requirement. This is a snap of the lakshmi seated in a wooden mandapam amidst ashta lakshmi. THis is also called ashta dala Padma. I have decorated the Marapaachi doll using copper paint so that it looks real. Hope you like it.

Hi i am uploading two snaps of my golu which i arranged this year. One is Ashta lakshmi seated on lotus petals and the other is " Shiva parvathi kalyanam conducted in Puttaparthi in the divine presence of the lord. I have decorated the lakshmi seated in the centre . Its actually a Marapaachi doll. And in the Other theme, have done the sweets and Parupputhengai using paper and card board. Hope you Like them.

i am interested in participating in this golu competition. Apart from 7 steps, This year we have chosen “KRISHNA LEELA” as the theme for our golu. The various aspects of Lord Krishna’s leela and stories are depicted in our golu.
It contains:
1. Birth of Lord Krishna in prison
2. River Yamuna makes way for Krishna and Serpent “Sheshnaag” forms an umbrella to save new born Krishna.
3. Lord Krishna stealing the butter
4. Lord Krishna lifting “Govardhanagiri” hill.
5. Nalakubera and Manigreeva Vimochanam.
6. Kaalinga Nardhanam.
7. Dancing with gopikas.
8. Taking away the clothes of gopikas while they bath.
9. Krishna and Radha Kalyanam.
10. Geetha upadhesam.

our golu has a great wall of china that has been made completely out of waste materials like waste bottles,sand,invitation cards etc...we also have a seven step golu.

Our golu is based on the theme "18 Siddhars". A mountain called Siddar Malai is created and shrines for each of 18 Siddas are created in and around the mountain. On the top of the mountain is a shiva linga on which water falls perinially. At the back drop is a night sky and an audio visual on the details of 18 Siddhas are displayed on the screen camouflaged on the sky. Below the mountain is a small village.
