Rangoli of the day
2018- Aadi Velli- Aashada month is Aadi month in tamil, the begining of Dakshiynaya punya kaalam ....All of our festivals begin after this month.
I have tried to draw the weapons of the Universal Mother....She has a Paasha (Noose), Ankusha (Goad), Five flower arrows (Ashoka tree flower, Mango tree flower, Blue and White lotuses and Jasmine flower), and a Sugarcane Bow.... Paasha represents Her power to bind and free obstacles.... Ankusha represents perseverance on the path of spiritual practice (She is able to drive us just like a mahout)....The five Flower Arrows represent our Five Senses and the Sugarcane Bow our mind....
Abhirami Andhaadhi is a set of 100 shlokas in tamil on the Mother Goddess Abhirami....the 85 th shloka talks about Her weapons...
Meaning:
Saw I, in all directions,
And I saw her hands with the Pashangusha,
I saw those five arrows made of flowers,
Followed by bees,
I saw the bow made of sugarcane,
I saw the Goddess Of Tripura,
Who puts an end to my sufferings great,
I saw her narrow hips,
I saw her covered breasts,
Applied with saffron,
And I saw her garland of pearls.

Hello Lata!
I'm Rajamma mami's neighbour, Anushree. Thanks to her, I've taken an interest in doing kolams and also joining this website. Here is an acrylic on canvas painting of a peacock reposing amid flowers. I've used some kundan to add to the bling factor :)! Kindly upload it if you like it.
Thanks,
Anushree

The cow, flamingo, girl and the butterfly were all done last year by Surya and Diya. Since it was all done last year, they couldn't remember whose butterfly this one is. And, they had already lost the quilling tool. I have no clue regarding these things.
Mrs.Jayanthi's quilling lessons reminded me of having seen these little critters somewhere in my kids' rooms, and so thought of sharing it here, before these get lost too.
I made this ant using a few balloons, last year. It stayed inflated for two days, and lost lot of weight on the third day. I am not sure what happened after that as I could not find it on my table where I had left it before I left for school.
This is a wall decor made with magazines. I found it somewhere on the internet. A magazine with at least 50 sheets will give a good effect.
Step 1 - Hold the top corner of the sheet, fold it inward so that the top edge tucks into the magazine and crease it.
Step 2 - Repeat this for all the pages and again, for the bottom half of the sheet. do not crease it when folding the bottom half.
No glue required.
this s my first cold porcelain project .fr this also i hve nt used any colours fr roses just cp dough fr leaves i hve used fevicryl fabric paint.
