Dear All

This is with great feelings that I am informing my Ikolam members that my father in law Mr. S P Sarma, retired from FACT, Alwaye is no more. He was 91 years. He had a surgery on sunday after surgery he was talking and within two minutes massive heart attack occured and he left us for ever. He had no other complications like, sugar or pressure or colestrol or anything else. He was fit as a fiddle but suddenly last week he had loose motion and hemoglobin dropped and when checked they said that some tumour is there in his stomach and we had to remove that. After 3 1/2 hr surgery he talked to doctor and he wanted to be in semi icu with his son Rangan (My husband) during night. Doctor informed we will do that. Doctor came outside the operation theatre and telling his wife, his daughter and two sons were there in the hospital that he talked after operation. The operation was very much successful. Then when he went inside just in 2 minutes every thing was over. He left us. It is a great loss to our family. His wife, Ambujam, elder Daughter Raji, Son Kumar, Gireesh and Rangan are left now behind with their families. My daughter was his favourite grand child and she is daily crying for her thatha looking at his old pictures and remembering his story telling and talk with them. Today 9 days over. We miss him a lot .

One more thing happened that day. It was pradhosham that day he used to do devisai poojai daily (Sivalingham pooja). By 3.30 pm he passed away. His body was brought to house by 6 pm. You wont believe that day by 7.30 pm the Ox in the temple we call him Manikantan its a huge Ox came to our house just standed in the car poarch for around 15 minutes and left. The next day the lady from the temple came and told this OX was in the temple after that and dint even take food and only by next day afternoon that Ox went from the temple. Actually the body of our father was cremated only by 11.30 pm on Monday. The Ox was there in front of Siva Nadai till that time. See every body says he has no more janma after this and Lord Siva has taken him directly. He was a very very nice and helpful person. We misss u apppaaaa aaaaa lot.

Sorry if I made you all emotional. But I liked to share this with all of my friends.

d) Vaikundam with astalakshmis

Navagraha temples in Solar System layout (Grahas and Planets)

Our ancestors has found the grahas - Sun,Mercury,Moon(satellite), Rahu and kethu (lunar nodes),Venus, Jupiter, Saturn,Mars and mapped them in to seven days of a week and Rahu n kethu into rahukaalam and Kuligai. In 17th century, Galileo invented telescope then science has found Uranus,Neptune,Pluto and more in the space.

I've tried to replicate the telescopic view of the planets for each grahas. A temple cutout and navagraha kolam is also placed. Each graha is border with the respective stones (navarathina karkal)

Also i've collected 9 wrestler dolls to represent each graha and its color.

Sun - Orange hot ball, Suriyanar temple, Red Color
Mercury - Grey Craters, Thiruvenkaadu temple, Green Color, Emerald
Venus - Hot planet with High mountains and cloudy, Kanjanoor temple, Red Color, Diamond
Moon - Satellite, Thingaloor, White, Pearl
Rahu and Kethu - Lunar nodes, Keezhaperumpallam temple and Nageswaram temple, Topaz and Garnet
Earth - Planet with life :), Also displayed Galileo, Telescope, Great astronmers - Aryabhatta, Bhaskara, Brahmagupta
Mars - Hugh Volcanoes, Vaidheeswaran temple, Red Coral stone
Saturn - Yellow,Brown,White colored planet with colored rings, Thirunalaaru temple, Blue sapphire
Jupiter - Yellowish green swirls and cloudy, Alangudi temple, Yellow sapphire stone
Uranus - Greenish blue planet
Neptune - Sea blue planet
Pluto - Frozen gas planet
