Thank you Preeti, for giving this design and the idea to try this with kolapodi.( So Like Lata and Anantharajam, I decided to play with kolapodi) It was not that easy to copy. 1st I put it in paper and colored with color pencil, referring ur site frequently. Then reproduced it on the granite slab.This 3-D, Three-Idiots took 2 days (nearly 4 hours ) for me to complete it. I used the same colors like Preeti to get the same effect.Now I can smile at them with my back pain. I really really want a COMMENT(+ or -) from ALL of you!!

Seeing so many chikku kolams recently in the site I was also tempted to put an easy one. The dot count is 15-1 straight dots. Wet maavu used for ezhai and Manjalkunkumum(colorpodi) for the dots.
For Holi I wanted to put a design and color it with all the left over color powders. I could not complete it on time. Anyhow its sent just for your comments.

This is a dotted kolam with 7 dots seven lines straight dots.simple design and colored with pink and blue color powder.
This is a dotted kolam.7-1 straight dots.(a modified Pushpaji's recent maakolam).Kolam drawn with wet rice maavu and coloring done with color rangoli powder. Easy to draw lines than filling it fully.
My grand daughter wanted to put x'mas rangoli with bells and leaves. She drew this design and with my guidance colored it also. could not upload this when she was here.Sahana loves ikolam and during holidays she wants to upload all her drawings . This is one sample.
Last 4 days I was very busy, but could not resist putting a romantic kolam for V.day as per Lata's wish. Did not have any ready made one like Judy had, so has to hurry thru to put one. Jayanthi(my SIL) who visited us helped me in decorating it with her final touchups. My grand son Neel also put his hand on it to improve, and made us to redo somepart of it.
Thru this Rangoli we pass on our LOVE to ALL the LOVING HEARTS.
This is yet another morning raagam with 9-5 inbetween dots. decorated with yellow and majenda color powder.
