Ingredients: Green gram ( Pachchai Payaru) 1 cup, Green chilli...2, cocnut Poo....1/4 cup, Mango.......2 tsps of scrapped mangopieces, Salt.... for taste, Mustard.... 1 tsp cooking oil...2 tsp, scrapped carrot and corriander leaves ..... each 3 tsp for garnishing, cucumber small pieces ...... few for decoration. Method of preparatin: Soak the green gram overnight. Strain the water and Keep it in a closed vessel for few hours and allow it to sprout. When it is fully sproutted, keep it in a vessel and STEAM it in the cooker for 5 minutes. (If it is cooked with water then the outer skin gets seperated, so only steam it without water). Grind 3 tsp of cocunutpoo, mango pieces and green chilli into a corse paste. Heat a thava, add 2 tsp of cooking oil, put the mustard , when it flutters add the grinded paste and fry till it becomes dry. Add the steamed gram to this with required salt to taste and in slow flame mix it well . Keep it aside for cooling. When you want to serve, garnish it with little fresh coconut poo, chopped coriander leaves and scraped carrot. I call it HEALTHY aince Less oil used, sprouted greengram is full of nutrition. and Only fresh coconut, corriander and carrot used for decoration. Making time 15 to 20 minutes.(5 mts for steaming, 5 mts for grinding and frying the masala and 5 mts for decorating).
