The big yellow and orange powder letter is "OM"- and the surrounding white powder word(s) is "MURUGA" in Tamil...
"Kandha Sashti Kavacham" is a sacred, powerful text on Lord Muruga/Subramamya...
In that there is a part that says it is highly effective when we recite it 36 times in one day.. ("Kandha sashti kavacham idhanai sindhai kalangaadhu dhyaanip pavargaL oru naaL muppatthaaru uru kondu odhiye japitthu"..)...
Hence wrote 36 "Muruga(s)".....
