This is a very simple dotted kolam.
Dot Count:
1,3,5,7,9,7,5,3,1
This is my second kolam of 13 to 7 dot count. I have used 7 colours, hence I named it "Rainbow Stars".
hridayakamalam is a chikku kOlam!
See the up and down movement of the string in this hridayakamalam (same as hk-2).
Depending upon the complexity of the kOlam, the number of points of intersection
varies. In this case, it is 16. The hridayakamalam like this has handedness.

This is the Padi kolam I drew for Tamil new year. Here in US we don't get kolapodi so I managed to draw it with little kolapodi and arisi maavu.
A special maa kolam for tamil new year. The kolam is scratched for food at some places by the squirrel and its kids, which has a roost in our coconut tree. I tried to hide a part of the scratch, but could not hide small ones.
"Thamizh puthandu vaalthukal"
This is a line kolam for tamil new year. The basic design for this kolam is from the Meenakshi temple "sudhai sirpam" with naaga design, seen on the roof after being painted newly for the kumbabishekam.
I made this freehand kolam today morning. I wish all friends A Happy New Year.
This is the flower rangoli drawn for VISHU this year. It was created by Bharathi and myself.
