A Potholder that I made last year for my mom (for mother's day). But she thinks it is too pretty to use!
Anybody got an extra eye? Picture taken from a restaurant in Ellora (Maharashtra).
Creator/sculptor/decorator unknown (so far).
You have already seen how to create the seven type of borders. In south India, the
mango borders are very well liked. Here are all possible borders using a real mango
"cheek" as the basic motif. Saree designers, please get ready!

And finally my attempt at arsimaavu kolams - can this be classified as a padi kolam?? Experts please tell me? Lata if you look carefully you will see tiny dot spillings around the kolam (though I was very very careful not to spill). This kolam also I put about 4 times before I was able to get an almost perfect outcome - waited for it to dry fully and then clicked a pic and after I finished taking the pic I used a dry cloth to remove the arsimaavu - but to my surprise I discovered another style of kolams. I immediately clicked and have attached to the original picture for all of you to see and enjoy. Rajamma no ear buds this time, only dry cloth hehe......
This is a painting method called crackle medium.
This can be paint in any surface. This can be used as back ground or else good colour combination can make a just wall hanger. I pasted Ganesha in the center. Flower arrangements can also be done in the center instead.
This is for arts and crafts session.

This also one of the Ganesha rangoli put in my office by me and friends. I think GANESHA is worshiped all over India with great enthu and it comes after Independence day. So we chose our National flag color to give border for this rangoli. Whenever I see this snap my good olden days spent in office with nice friends come to my mind and I feel very happy.
This is a kind of traditional kolam.usually this kind of kolams are put on a functional day.
