Yes, I went to the moon,
returned with bits of lune,
and arranged them soon,
and fell into a swoon

Friends this embroidery is done on matty cloth.I just thought this design ,resembled the Kumil Kolam done by Uma Maheswaran.Hence I posted this cross stitch work
A simple paDi kOlam is displayed here. It has a central lotus with eight petals. You may find Sankha, chakra, gadA and padmA on the sides. The outer border has tulasi. As purandaradAsa says, hari will not accept worship without tulasI.

Today is friendship day (1st sunday of august)...
"Our paths are different as the life goes on but the bond between FRIENDS remains ever STRONG "..HAPPY FRIENDSHIP DAY!!!
Since a long time I wanted to make this. I could never find a proper picture. Finally i had to create one from an imperfect one. I am not still pleased with this. But my urge to do the patterns overtook the imperfect starting leaf. Aegle marmelos Correa (known as bilva) is a tree sacred to the devotees of Siva. They worship Siva with the leaves which resemble trifoils. The bilva fruits have medicinal properties too. Here are some patterns I created, one of which resembles a chakra! Regards! - mOhana
