This is my first ever dotted kolam with coloured powder.Putting my entry just to see people's reaction..........:)
The dot pattern is interlaced dots.

My first attempt at Rangoli. Didn't come out as expected. Experts in rangoli kindly guide me on how to mix the kola maav with the ragoli powder in what proportion, how to spread the colour,achieving a thin layer and also shading in rangoli. This will help me in making a good rangoli for Karthikai.

I made this rangoli for diwali & govardhan puja at the krishna temple in Los Angeles, USA. Used color sand (for rangoli powder), white rice flour and a little chalk
