I made this kolam at my daughter's place where no neighbours put kolam.Everybody appreciated it and some tourists took photo too.

this we made it on a slope with ahhh!!!!!!great difficulty...because the colours were sliding...but still i hope it has turned out to be a good one....

A picture taken in our South trip (town of Sirkazhi), during the winter holidays. This picture was taken from the neighboring yards of the town's famous temple; Sattainathar temple with main dieties being Brahmapureeshwarar (Shiva)- Thirunilainaayaki (Parvathi). Colloquially, this temple is called the "Periya koil" (meaning big temple, in tamil). The temple is situated near the banks of the river Kollidam. You might have come across the story of one of the great saivaite saint, Thirugranasambandhar, who, as an infant was fed the milk of wisdom by Goddess Parvathy.
(This temple is also a local favorite spot for students, during the study holidays. One such student was Mani (my husband), who nostalgically visits the temple telling us stories, whenever we visit his hometown).

This is a kolam put paadhi- paadhi {50 - 50] by Rajam and me. We did this till 1.30 in the midnight yesterday. Now you have to guess which half is put by her and which by me? We dedicate this kolam to those who tell the correct answer. Come on.... pull up your socks...Your time starts NOW!

This is also kanya kolam with different designs. Usually kanya kolam will drawn on Tuesdays and Fridays.I have drawn with 2lines. If you put 4lines,it looks bigger and nice .
