Dear All!
This is one of the more attractive kolams I clicked at the mylapore festival kolam contest of Jan 2008. As the picture says it is 17* 17 dots. I appreciate the visual texture the artist has managed to create with lines and the meticulous geometrical precision in execution. A chic and suave kolam that is indeed a treat to the perceiving eye!
Another puzzle rangoli with dot count 13-7 in between dots. Here 2 different type of segment/designs are repeated in all the directions to form this rangoli. Loo.....ng ago in one Tamil magazine( I think Kumudham) one Male Kolam Expert used to give the dots for the kolam and provide with one segment of the puzzle and we have to fill the same in our own way to create a kolam and send. very intresting to do. In my old kolam note book I found some designs and here they are for u all to taste and try.
Here are some of makkolams done by me during pongal this year!
We live in a flat in dubai, so no big kolams outside the house! Your site is quite encouraging!

Kindly see the pookolam. I made this in my mom's house ..I collected the flowers from a bouquet and the leaves are from murungai tree..
this is a mehandi design which can be used as a boarder design
Maze kolam.. Couldn't capture the whole kolam with my cam!
As i got a few comments on the central part of the rangoli i uploaded a few weeks back . I thought this picture will give a better view.
