You are a mind reader mOhanaji! Its about time for me to get my okhra seeds in seed pots in our garage, for this summer. Thank you for the reminder. The center design looks like a giant leaf of Colacasia, Elephant Ears - a great idea and a neat arrangement! But, why did you leave it at that? I'm sure the thought of cutting an okhra across and making more designs would have crossed your mind! :)

The central motif with many okras and the design with that motif (left bottom) was quite tough and time consuming. I had to take one okra and rotate it by various angles and assemble them again and scale them properly. That assembly and its reflection forms the motif. Actually I tried this first with the red chilis (bottom left). The bottom right looks like some organic structure with benzene rings. The top right is interesting because while the svAstika assembly of okra bottoms goes counterclockwise, the svAstika assembly of okratops runs clockwise. Of course, there are many rangOlis like the top left. Regards! - mOhana

I can imagine how time consuming the rotations, the positioning and the scaling is! Actually, in the chilli rangoli, at first I thought that the bottom left one was some kind of a feathery structure, or perhaps some part of the chilli plant, but then, on the second day, I noticed that each tiny element of that design was infact a chilli! You had placed so many chillies in that motif, that it looked like the bristles of a feather! As for the okhra, I do understand the main motif, but the top right one, where you've mentioned that the swastika assembly of okhra bottoms goes counterclockwise, I didn't get that part (whereas I can see clearly that the tops do run clockwise).

latAjI, please look at the centre of the top right. There you have the okras meeting at the bottom ends and these four run counter-clockwise. Hope you see it. Regards! - mOhana
