I made this kolam with color pencils, using a design from one of our kolam books. It uses 13 dots at the center line, and the dots decrease by 2 from every line going from the center, towards the outer edge. I thought that if I made all the cartoons the same color, the whole kolam would look boring, so I alternated colors for every person.
Dotted Kolams
Here are the kolams and rangolis in this page:
- Dotted Cartoons
- Chikku kolam with Manjal-Kunkumam
- simple kolam
- Aiswarya kolam
- marghazhi kolam
- sikku kolam
- kolam
- Daily kolams
- Stained Glass Kolam
- Interlaced triangles
Seeing so many chikku kolams recently in the site I was also tempted to put an easy one. The dot count is 15-1 straight dots. Wet maavu used for ezhai and Manjalkunkumum(colorpodi) for the dots.
The name of this kolam is called Aiswarya kolam. Usually this is drawn in the pooja room.
