Bravo, for overcoming your shyness Asha! Now there's no looking back! In my vocabulary, anyone who is keen on keeping this art (or any for that matter)alive using any medium, is anything but an amateur. Collecting these pencil drawn/pen drawn patterns in a notebook is also not an easy task. One has to be careful with the dotted versions even more because one slip in the dot count, and you end up with a mess. Just by posting this design, do you have any idea how many people you're helping come up with new ideas? You also have to think about this from another perspective. By posting here, you've started to maintain your own kolam album, where many rangoli enthusiasts are going to post comments on your creations...and one can only improve further using those comments
Hi Sahana123
Just soak raw rice for an hour or two. wet grind it to a fine paste, adding water if necessary. make a thin solution by adding enough water. Keeping a small bit of cloth soaked in the batter in the middle of your fingers, slowly press it with the thumb for the batter to flow thro' your middle finger and draw patterns on a smooth floor. You will achieve it by practise, practise and more practise!
ok lata .i captured these rangolis in my web cam ,next time i will send bigger images,

The sun and shade gives an additional depth for this one!
