For Navrathri, today being friday I tried this maakkolam on the white tile floor, thinking of
Sowmya. While drawing, the wet ezhai is not visible hence some omissions and comissions are there.Hats off to Sowmya's perfection.

Ananthi, there is no secret. I mix color powder to white kolapodi and drew these thin lines. You know I am a kanjoos in using colour podi. If I fill the gaps with thick spreading of colour podi then my stock will be over in notime. So I Invented this "line filling" method to save color podi.
Bala, how sad. I wanted to see your version also. Please try one more time when you are free.

Beautiful - Your kolam on white floor is very nice - it looks like a jewel. I too wanted to try ur input to use white maa itself on my floor but again the problem is that while wet nothing is seen so unable to follow the pattern. But will surely try and upload this.
