My most favourite type of kolam is the 'Kambi Kolam' or 'Chikku Kolam'. Here's one for you friends.
This is done with curled colour paper strips, arranged in a circular pattern so as to form a kolam design.
This was put during last margazhi. I got up early to make it.
This is a snap of the Rangoli done during Diwali in Baroda. The rangoli powder you get there has a very good texture of its own. You get lovely shades of colours too there. With both, creating rangoli is a pleasure.
This kolam is done with a dot count of 19, done 14 times. The remaining dots could be cleared after the Ganesha is drawn.
This was drawn in front of my aunt's house when she was away to her native during pongal.
The rangoli is coloured with paint.
I hope all members would like my rangoli.
A small plastic stencil found in my grandson's clay box and an ear bud came to my help in drawing this design.( Chennai meet people can make out how I put this)
