This is a peacock design Ganesha - I got it from a invitation card. This can be used for the centre portion of rangoli. I like drawing lord Ganesha so took this design.
21 PULLI, 1 VARAI, NAER PULLI
THE SPECIALITY OF THIS KOLAM IS, IT STARTS WITH ONE POINT AND ENDS IN THE SAME, NO BREAKS INBETWEEN, WHOLE KOLAM IS MADE OUT OF A SINGLE LINE!
Hi all,
This rangoli was made on pongal day this year by me and my co-sister. Let me know your comments!
This is a simple chikku kolam. Ordinary design is repeated in between Anybody can try this without much difficulty. I have drawn this with white nylon kolapodi. Since the floor also white, for the contrast I used brown and apple green colour podi for the inner designs .
This is the dot grid of my contest kolam. The dot count is 23 dots 23 lines straight dots and on the outer side 5,3,1 dots( shown in brown color) as per in the picture.
I don't know whether it is eligible or not to participate.Though I send it for your views. You may try it for radhasapthami day.
Normally chikku kolams are drawn with straight dots. But few chikku kolams esp., hexagon type chikku kolams are drawn with 'in between' dots. This is one such type of kolams which fascinates me. I remember to have seen this in our site but cannot recollect the name of the member.
Here is the dot grid for my kolam to the contest. It is 19 to 10 'in between' dots with extension of 3-2-1 around.
