After a long time I thought of humming my morning raaga. It is a simple chikku kolam done with wet maavu and coloured with used color podi.

After sending 2 contest entries, with dotted designs, I did not get sleep in the night, just drew this design and colored. In the morning just added yellow and pink back ground just by sprinkling the colors in the gap. Though not come out perfect, I just thought of sharing it.

This is one of my margazhi kolams. It is 13-7 middle dots and borders are free hand. Got help from mother in law for colouring.

Hai Friends.... I've made this kolam on 1st Friday of Thai month.... A bis story behind this kolam.... Generally I used to take photo using my daughter's mobile as soon as I completed the kolam .. I've did the same on that day also.... Unfortunately she lost her mobile while going to college. I was very much worried not for the mobile.... because I did'nt download my kolam to the system.... After 4days she got her mobile and today I am uploading my kolam for your views.....

On the occasion of the Indian Republic Day, here is wishing one and all a happy holiday. My memory goes back to my younger days when we used to march in streets singing songs. Here is a novel attempt of a chikku kOlam of the Indian tricolour. The pattern has 9x13 dots and is of a single line. The colours represent the colours of the flag. Enjoy!
