Dear friends...This kolam was done for Krishna Jayanthi at my place. Your views on this place.
After seeing Anirudh's forwards of the recent Bangalore Rang rangaavali competition with so many colourful SB rangolis, I was tempted to put a small one. Hope you like it.
This is a simple dotted design kolam with line decoration for the beginners to enjoy and try
My grand son Neel picked some flowers from the park and forced me to put pookkolam with that and helped me in arranging the petals in this simple design. The pink Hibiscus and red colour chilli flowers were from the park and the leaves, white, pink and red rose petals are from my garden. The border with dried Dehlia from my garden was arranged by him like cars( his favourite toy) waiting in a traffic jam!
Enjoy!
Hai to all...hope you like this dotted kolam in double strokes decorated with flower petals...eagerly waiting for ur views
Hai to all...hope you like this kolam done on onam evening with the remaining flowers...eagerly waiting for ur views
Dear friends...Here is a chikku kolam in colours. Your views on this please.
In the past to describe symmetry and the plane groups, I drew patterns in the dotted form which are shown below:

Suddenly, I got an idea yesterday, why not use numbers for the various rotation axes. It is so easy to understand. Accordingly the numbers 1 (for 360 deg rotation or no symmetry), 2 (for 180 deg rotation), 3 (for 120 deg rotation), 4 (for 90 deg rotation) and 6 (for 60 deg rotation) were used. Where a mirror symmetry is present with these rotations, the mirror images of the numbers were used. For only the mirror symmetry, the letter m was used. If there is interest, I will upload magnified images. Enjoy!
