this is a kolam made on third aadi velli,6th august,ekadasi day.I dedicate this to my ammamma (granny)who passed away on that day after 67 years of her married life with my grandpa whom she left behind lonely at 94.

Hai to all...today is aadi puram...Aandal was born on this day and also here in most of d amman temples valaikappu function is done for d deity,,,we can donate as many as (dozens)glass bangles and d iyer will decorate d ambal as a heavily pregnent lady...the experience of d iyer shows in bringing out a slight tiredness and exhaustion on d ambal's face(really...u have to see it to believe it...)....

I had made this one long long ago and as usual forgot to upload it (reason I dont know myself). Today when I saw the original uploaded, I searched and found my version and am uploading now. I separated each design to make 9 individual designes using different colours to distinguish each one of them and also flipped the same image to change the entire look. Made a collage of both the kolams and uploading now for you all to enjoy. Hope Lata will upload this immediately ??

This is a freehand simple padikolam. I used kaavi and yellow color to do this. Hope you like it.

This pattern was assembled from a 3 x 2 (see the top three rows and two columns) motif. There are only two strings (red and white). There are several triangular knots. Enjoy!

Drawing rangoli is different from kolam. My hobby is drawing rangoli.
